My son got these coins years ago from his cousin.  They have been sitting on the shelf in a bottle.
These are very nice coins from Mexico for your collection.
Following a period of hyperinflation and currency devaluation in the
1980s
that occurred after Mexico defaulted on its external debt as a result of the
1970s
oil crisis, the government of Mexico created a new peso, or "nuevo peso," to replace the original peso in
1993.  So the government required everyone to trade in their older coins by a certain date in 1993 or it would have no value in circulation.  These are very hard to find.
These are 1984 One (1) Peso Mexican coins featuring the Eagle w/Snake and the portrait of José Morelos on the reverse.
I am not a professional coin grader so I ask that you make your own judgment based on the photos that are provided. I hope the photos provide the detail that you need.
